Pinterest Fail: DIY Workout T-Shirt

I know what you’re thinking because I’m thinking the same thing. How did I screw up a T-shirt? Well it happened, and unfortunately the T-shirt didn’t make it.

I saw some cute cut up T-shirt ideas on Pinterest that I wanted to try, so I bought a few shirts from the thrift store. I wanted to cut them up and wear them as workout clothes. I thought it was a solid plan until I actually tried to mimic this Pin in particular. It looked simple enough, but this post is titled Pinterest Fail, so obviously I screwed something up.

DIY Mini Succulent Garden

On top of buying my mom and step mom succulent plants, my boyfriend and I decided to get some of our own too! With the plants being about $5 each, the succulents make a great, inexpensive decoration at our little apartment.

We bought 3 decent sized plants from Home Depot, and we got a planter from Michaels that was 50% off plus my discount! We’ve wanted some plants for our apartment for a while, but never really had the motivation to go to Home Depot to check out their selection.

My Mother’s Day Gift: Succulent Plants

Mother’s Day is 3 days away, and I still needed to get my mom and step mom a gift. I wanted to get them something different this year. In the past, I usually bought wall decorations or the usual Chili’s gift card. I wanted to steer clear of the gift card idea, so I went to Home Depot with the intent of buying a plant of some sort.

I wanted to get them a low maintenance plant because nothing is worse than committing them to a plant that needs full attention when they may not have the time. I came across some succulent plants and knew it would be a perfect gift for them.

DIY Tea-Rex Mug

DIY Tea-Rex Mug

I wanted to do an inexpensive DIY project today, and so I decided to decorate a mug. I have seen different ways to decorate ceramic mugs, and one idea I really liked showed a bunch of dots outlining a letter (like this). Instead of using an initial, I wanted to do something cool like an outline of a dinosaur. A few Google searches later, I stumbled upon the perfect silhouette of a tyrannosaurus rex (I found it here).
