If you’re like me, you might be scrambling to come up with the best Mother’s Day gift ever. Mother’s Day is May 10, meaning we have 5 days until we spoil our mommas. I always find myself in the same position each year, cycling the same questions in my mind. What should I buy for my mom? What should I make my her? Wait, does she want something handmade or from the store??? Some of you may remember my nifty Comic Book Collage: Star Wars Edition post. In honor of Star Wars Day, I thought it would be fun to reminisce a DIY project I did in a galaxy far, far away– I mean a few months ago. I wanted to do an inexpensive DIY project today, and so I decided to decorate a mug. I have seen different ways to decorate ceramic mugs, and one idea I really liked showed a bunch of dots outlining a letter (like this). Instead of using an initial, I wanted to do something cool like an outline of a dinosaur. A few Google searches later, I stumbled upon the perfect silhouette of a tyrannosaurus rex (I found it here).
I have a college kid’s budget, so going to the mall can be kind of heartbreaking when you realize how much money you lack. I don’t get discouraged by this, it just means I have to find really good deals in order to seal the deal with buying something. When I went to Earthbound Trading Company at the Parks Mall a couple of months ago, I definitely didn’t leave empty handed or empty pocketed.
